The first seeds

Maria Musiska and Nangoi Simposiya plant the first beds on a hillside outside Lusaka, supplying locally grown chrysanthemums to the city's florists and churches.

Chosen to grow

Hillview is selected as one of ten businesses for the UNDP Supplier Development Programme's ten-month journey, and begins supplying Shoprite Zambia.

Seven crops, fifty-four people, fifty-five per cent women. Farm training by day, literacy classes by evening, and flowers on shelves across Zambia.
